Third International Solar Eclipse Summit
Saturday, July 10 2010 (15:00 - 19:00)
El Calafate (Patagonia, Argentina)
InterSoles 3, The Third International Solar Eclipse Summit, will take place this year on 10th July in El Calafate (Patagonia, Argentina). This program was originally planned to be held at Buenos Aires Galileo Galilei Planetarium. However, due to organizational constraints out of Eclipse-City's control, this venue had to be postponed to El Calafate short notice.
This conference, exhibition and show focusing on solar eclipses, offers valuable astronomical knowledge to an interested national and international audience at no cost. International scientists and astronomers will be presenting highly interesting facts and recent scientific findings about solar eclipses and space, accompanied by multimedia, movies, sky observation, photographic exhibitions, equipment, etc.
The show is intended not only to address astronomy-affine adults but also children and families with different astronomy background. Eclipse-City’s Children Astronomy Workshop is pure edutainment, allowing children to learn how to assemble and use a full functioning telescope. One day after, they may observe the total solar eclipse (due to above mentioned program changes, please contact us for details about the workshop)
Eclipse City is organizing this non-profit conference-exhibition-show in cooperation with EurAstro, now for the third time. InterSoles 1 took place in Jiayuguan (Gobi Desert) in 2008 and InterSoles 2 in 2009 in Shanghai (China).
Eclipse-City is the world leader in eclipse event management. It is its dedication to take “eclipse-chasers”, scientists, incentive travelers, students, mom-and-pop, newly weds, toddlers, entrepreneurs and professionals of all kind, as well as heads of states and managers from larger organizations, to the point of best eclipse experiencing. Being pioneers in eclipse logistics Eclipse City brings the necessary infrastructure to places as remote as the Antarctic Continent, The Libyan Desert, Siberia’s Steppe, China’s Silk Road, Yangshan Island or now, coming up in 2010, Patagonia and
