Welcome to the Eclipse-City Research Center

Dear Eclipse-City friends,

Eclipse-City, as the world leader in solar eclipse event management and organization, has now officially launched the Eclipse-City Research Center.

By launching this initiative and along its Total Solar Eclipse Summit - Inter Soles, Eclipse-City keeps on in promoting total solar eclipse viewing for amateurs, professionals and any other interested parties.

The Eclipse-City Research Center started its projects with implementing an academic research that using the 2008 Total Solar Eclipse event in China as a case study to learn about motives to attending an eclipse event and to find out the visiting satisfaction after it. The first research project is jointly sponsored by the Eclipse-City Research Center and the Wageningen University of the Netherlands. The results will be officially published on the internet in Feburary 2009. Other research projects shall follow; these being based primarily on scientific and/or customer research at our Eclipse-City locations throughout the world.

If you or your organization is engaged in researching the subject matter of (total) solar eclipses in the broadest sense, such as solar eclipse history, solar eclipse observation, astronomy photography, telescoping, the solar eclipse phenomena per se, please feel free to contact us. According to your specific topic, Eclipse-City and its sponsoring partners will review your research and shall eventually support your project.
