PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Obtain services and/or cash for sponsorships for Eclipse-City and its programs, sell incentive packages to sponsors or other non-sponsoring organizations: |

| DUTIES |
 |
Identify, approach, secure and steward prospective and existing corporate sponsors, strategic partners and other funding sources for Eclipse-City's programs. Collaborate with other Eclipse-City departments as appropriate. |
 |
Identify, approach, secure and steward prospective incentive traveling clients for Eclipse-City's programs. Collaborate with other Eclipse-City departments as appropriate. |
 |
Together with Products Managers China and Japan, develop incentive programs, marketing materials and business presentations; negotiate agreements and close and service deals. |
 |
Develop sponsorship and benefits schedules, marketing materials and business presentations; negotiate agreements and, in collaboration with Eclipse-City Senior Management, close and service deals. |
 |
Develop detailed cash and in-kind sponsorship outreach plans designed to meet the funding goals of Eclipse-City programs, and secure sponsor commitments and payments well in advance of program dates. |
 |
Management and stewardship of all sponsor relations and fulfillment of agreements. |
 |
Ensure that all sponsor deals are consistent with Eclipse-City standards, and are approved by Eclipse-City Managing Director. |
 |
Supervise the activities of other Eclipse-City personnel with regard to sponsorship recruitment and fulfillment. |
 |
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
At least four years experience in corporate sponsorship and fundraising with direct responsibility for raising funds and fulfilling agreements. Proven ability to achieve significant sponsorship target goals. Incentive travel management experience. |

Experience with large international events or adventure-related fundraising desirable |
 |
Affinity for astronomy and travel |
 |
Capacity to grasp broad concepts quickly and ability to articulate vision and value proposition of Eclipse-City programs to potential sponsors and other partners |
 |
Strong management skills and proven ability to coordinate dissemination of information and collaborate among internal departments and outside sponsors and partner organizations |
 |
Proven ability to meet deadlines and fulfill sponsorship agreements |
 |
Strong writing skills, especially in drafting and presenting compelling business presentations |
 |
Used to deal with senior management and decision makers |
 |
Strong closing (the deal) capabilities |
 |
Ability to work independently and sometimes, in austere environments using foreign languages and adapting to different cultures |
 |
Excellent English and German grammatical and proofreading skills; strong general MS office skills. Other European languages, Spanish, Japanese and/or Chinese are additional assets |
 |
Strong entrepreneurial drive |
 |
| This position is a part-time/freelance position during 2008/2009, with the goal to convert into full-time during 2010. Reporting is to Managing Director. |
